Ngā Miro Health
Ngā Miro Health Centre opened in 1991 to bring to fruition Princess Te Puea Herangi’s long held dream to improve the well-being of the people.
The name Ngā Miro was gifted by Te Arikinui Te Atairangikaahu and derives from the whakatauki of the first Māori King, Pootatau Te Wherowhero:
“Kotahi te kohao o te ngira e kuhuna ai te miro mā, te miro whero, te miro pango. A muri i ahau, kia mau ki te aroha, ki te ture me te whakapono”
Our Mission
He pou āwhina, he pou tautoko i ngā whānau kia tutuki i o rātou moemoeā, kia tupu, kia hua, kia puāwai.
